Unfortunately, the new planning legislation is seriously flawed. The GNCA does not see the need for the proposed changes which are poorly conceived, poorly explained and dangerous. They are unnecessarily complex and will cause confusion and uncertainty. The introduction of discretion in applying “outcomes” has the potential for corruption.
